Which fitting size should I pick?+
Vehicle A/C work uses the 1/2" ACME port, while stationary HVAC and refrigeration equipment uses the 1/4" SAE port. This cylinder covers both, so most shops need nothing extra beyond a standard adapter set.
How does R-134a differ from R-1234yf?+
R-1234yf is the newer low-GWP gas fitted to most vehicles built after roughly 2015. R-134a is still the correct charge for the enormous installed base of older vehicles and for a wide range of refrigeration equipment. They are not interchangeable — always match the label on the system.
